POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to perform/assist department personnel with standard duties to ensure the production needs are being met.PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES/DUTIES• Duties and assignments as required by leadership.• Safe and efficient operation of equipment to meet the needs of our customer.• Perform machine set ups and product changeovers per production schedule.• Ability to adjust feed and settings as necessary.• Interprets drawings and plans work in proper operational sequence.• Perform daily inspections of equipment and maintain housekeeping expectations (5S).• Accurately maintain inventory control systems and accurately maintain lot traceability of product throughout the value stream.• Understand and maintain inventory control systems.• Operation of industrial equipment (forklift, crane, hand carts, industrial tools, etc.)QUALIFICATIONS• High School diploma or GED preferred, not required.• Able to use measuring tools and perform basic math required.• 3 – 5 years manufacturing experience• Previous work experience within the department/metals manufacturing is a plus• Required to maintain licenses on crane and forklifts• Additional requirements include good communication skills, both verbal and written, a safe work history, and strong work ethics.• This position requires mental stability, ability to handle stress, get along with and work well with others, ability towork independently, regular, and predictable attendance, ability to stay awake, ability to work full-time and overtimePHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT- Mixed work environment between office and manufacturing production areas. Able to carry up to 35 pounds and able to work in a variety of spaces, and production areas with provided required PPE.
- Work time spent on the manufacturing floor could have temperature exposures of >100°F.
