Position Summary:

Looking for an experienced inside B2B sales associate with an interest and track record of successfully generating and qualifying leads at multiple decision-making levels within an organization. The position will be an integral member of the sales team and work closely with the customer service and field sales organizations to successfully find, develop and close business opportunities. 

The ideal individual will excel at working well both independently and as part of a team and as both as a hunter of new deals and in helping assist the sales and marketing departments in various tasks, including market research, market analysis, competitive research, trade show coordination and data collection and reporting for these areas. The associate will also have opportunities to perform field sales calls and attend trade shows as a representative of Elmet Technologies.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Grow the business.  Find and close new accounts by answering the telephone, cold calling and responding to incoming leads.
  • Build professional rapport with customers and potential customers; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
  • Daily quote entry, order entry, checking on quote and order status, maintaining status of quotes and needed follow up.
  • Researching competitors, product lines and markets and summarizing findings in PowerPoint positioning reports.
  • Assist with marketing activities such as running reports, reviewing metrics, monitoring Google SEO results and assisting in the design of sales PowerPoint documents and web content.
  • Trade show coordination.
  • Helping analyze financial and segment data analysis (xls, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Aid in defining compelling value propositions (strategy work) around sales and products.

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of inside or outside technical B2B sales experience.
  • Zero hesitation in picking up the phone and cold calling customers. 
  • Strong ability to develop rapport with customers while at the same time defining and qualifying opportunities.
  • Experience working with a web-based CRM system.
  • Extensive experience working with ERP systems, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Must be able to speak, hear and see.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Routinely communicates face-to-face, via telephone and by computer.
  • Must be able to walk a 1/4 mile without difficulty, bend, reach and lift 10lbs to shoulder height.
